Family faces are magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future. ~Gail Lumet Buckley
So true right! I know for me when I look at my kids I see myself, my husband, and a little of each of them in each other. Last night I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family complete with all 6 grandchildren. They were truly wonderful! Many times the thought of a mere sibling portrait of my family gets overwhelming and these kiddos proved me wrong!

Up to the minute. . .
Well this was our last maternity session for this gorgeous and fun mama. It has been great getting to know her and watch her little girl grow inside the belly. I can not wait to meet her in just a few short days (we hope!).
She's growing up!
I began photographing this little one when she was just a few weeks old and now here she is 18 months old. Its been fun watching her grow since she is so close to my little guy Jude in age. They are few weeks apart from each other! She has a little sister that I am lucky enough to watch grow now too. Despite the classic 18 month old not wanting to have a large black camera in the face (really it is normal for this age!) we grabbed smiles and great images. Enjoy your preview Mom & Dad. I'll be in touch with your gallery soon!

Sisters
I was so excited to photograph two little girls yesterday I have had a string of boys yesterday (not that boys aren't great!). It was just a nice change to see dresses and bows. Even though little sis wasn't too keen on me for a while, we came away with some great images that I am sure Mom is going to love. Your full gallery will be ready soon, in the meantime enjoy this preview!

Learning Curve
Well if there is one thing I have learned about our 3 year old the past few days, it is that there is certainly a huge learning curve when it comes to riding his little tricycle. All that being said, after a week he has turned into a little pro (except when he hits the big cracks in the sidewalk) and is so proud of himself. So here are some fun shots of him learning. I know there's a lot but love him!

Dear Terry -
Dearest blog readers - the following post is of my best friend Terry and her gorgeous belly with little guy inside. So please indulge our friendship for a moment, and receive a glimpse into it reading my message to her and view just how beautiful she truly is.
Dear Terry -
Wow ten years! I remember the first time we met in chorus back in college and now here we are 10 years later, married and pregnant. . .together! No really pregnant together?! And here we thought you would never have children but instead our boys will grow up and be just a few short weeks apart in age. You have been a true friend, you are my son's Godmother, you are like a second mother to all of my children, you are pretty neurotic and crazy, yet still a rock in my life. You are beautiful inside and out. Your little guy is beyond blessed to have you as a mother and I am just as blessed to have you as a friend. I love you. In light of your nursery theme - pooh said it best for us. . ." “It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"” - Pooh
Love you!!
PS What are you craving this week?? ;)
Now onto the pictures since I need to go get a tissue. . .pregnancy hormones!

Becoming a boy
I have watched this little grow from a teeny little peanut at just a few weeks to this big boy now. He has it all going for him a little charm (no really, check him out hammin it up!), a little spunk (he loves to chase the ducks), great parents and well, he is just adorable!! Oh did I mention he does yoga and sign language too?!
Casual Maternity
I truly am enjoying watching this client's belly grow and her love and joy of pregnancy grow along with it. Despite both of us being hot hot hot and pregnant yesterday we had a great time and came away with some gorgeous images. I love this series because they are relaxed, casual and maybe even a bit modern. So much fun!

Another Little Guy
It has been a busy week for me and luckily for me this little guy topped it off. I learned a few things about him, he is terribly cute, has parents that are just in awe of him and has some major love for his binky. I had a great time photographing him! Enjoy your blog preview Mom & Dad I'll be in touch soon with your entire gallery!

Changes. . .
It is amazing how much children, especially babies change in one year. Just a year ago (on Sunday!) this little was born and a few days later I photographed her. She is the black and white picture where it says "Enter Blog!" on my website! Then she was a teeny tiny little thing, I believe a little less than 6 pounds. Now she is a spunky little one year old with gorgeous blue eyes and a mind of her own. I just loved this session and all of the lovely color. So for once I am posting no black and white images, just color because I love it so much. . .and I hope Mom does too!
